Deep-Fried Klondike Bar
Fair cuisine hit a new high this year with the deep-fried Klondike bar. Start with a bar of chocolate-covered ice cream, dip it in batter, then deep-fry the whole thing. Served with chocolate syrup and powdered sugar. The crispy crust was hot, but the ice cream center was still frozen when it was served. Note the little bit of ice cream just starting to ooze out into the basket in the lower right corner of the picture.
